Hello friends! Long time no post! Lots of fab things have happened in the last 4 months, but here are some highlights! So after spending 2 months living in the SOMA district in Greg's 3-level loft equipped with puppy, I moved on over to the mission district to my co-workers place off of 16th and Guerrero with lots of fab restaurants and bars which I have yet to really fully experience cause i've been running back and forth from May til now between Sac, SF and the middle of america for mandarins! But now that thats settled, I have a little more time to... spend more time doing social things! Ive gone shoppin down Fillmore at least 4 times and visited he Tat-lovin Marc by Marc Jacobs (if youre reading this tat, thank you for bringing this mans creations into my life). And Tat also introduced me to "bittersweet" home of the best hot chocolate north of Leonidas! Because BART is freakin sweet (and i get riciduclously cheap bart tics thru the state, yea employee discount!) and goes directly into the union square/westfiend shopping center area... I be doin that alot too. I popped my concert cherry back in april with John Legend and Corrine Bailey Ray at the Greek in berekely with a handful of UCLA alums, go bruins! And it didnt stop there as I have since then went to 3 more concerts at the Fillmore, Sara Bareilles/Aqualung (go bruins!), Trey Songz/Ne-Yo/Fabulous and Consequence/Crisette Michelle/Musiq. Woohoo! There's this local grocer named Bi-Rite near my place in the mission and it has its own ice creamery with funky flavors like "salted caramel", "balsalmic strawberry", "and lavender vanilla" (you organic earth loving folk are so random). I went there one day after gettin off work at 2pm and just took a leisurely stroll with my ice cream back to my place. That was pretty neat, the daytime is so nice in the city. And just last week, I was makin mac n cheese but didnt have any milk. Instead of walking 5 blocks to safeway, I figured the "local grown, local bought" Bi-Rite would have milk... so I opted for the 2 block walk. It was so busy and I couldnt help but stare at all the funny shaped vegetables! Apparently, I couldnt even tell what half the stuff was without the label. Anyways, my point... I bought a basket of cherry tomatoes and they were orgasm in my mouth delicious! I still think about everyday... Work is good! I moved from the detour structure to the new bridge transition structure! That basically means I'm inspecting work that is actually going to still be there in 20-30-40 years! Remember, the transition structure is torn down after the new bridge is done! And I'll be workin this labor day while the bridge is closed. There's all these safety meetings and logistical meetings and I've gotten to meet all these high up people, its really neat. The higher up the ladder you go, the less nerdy and better socially the people get! So yea my labor day weekend shifts were scheduled for 4am to 1pm each day... I hope we dont fuck it up! Im excited! Ok, until next time! (btw sorry, didnt go back to edit anythings... im on crackspeed again!) |
